Land in Stage 1 of Maison Rochedale is going.. going.. gone!

The last remaining lot within Stage 1 of Maison Rochedale has been sold under the hammer for $1,065,000 by former Brisbane Lord Mayor turned auctioneer, Graham Quirk.

Highlighting a strong demand for the community, keen buyers jumped at the chance to bid on the rare 571sqm block, which overlooks Maison’s park and playground.

However, only one buyer could walk away with the prized lot, which was Manmeet Singh of Drewvale.

Mr Singh said the lot was the perfect parcel of land to build a large, multigenerational home on.

“I used to rent nearby in Rochedale South and love the area’s connectivity and schools, so I’m excited to move back,” Mr Singh said. “The suburb also has a nice cultural mix which I love.”

“The block is a good size and overlooks Maison’s parklands. I’m going to build a two-storey house with at least 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. This will be a multigenerational home so we’ll enjoy having plenty of space for our whole family.

“I’m very excited to raise my family here.”

Once built, Mr Singh’s house will overlook parklands at Maison Rochedale

Mr Quirk, who captivated the dozens of onlookers during the bidding war said buyers were turning to Maison Rochedale for its family friendly masterplan, proximity to premium schools and its connectivity to major transport networks.

“Rochedale is developing into a lovely area thanks to beautifully master planned estates such as Maison Rochedale,” Mr Quirk said. “What was historically a farming area is now a prestigious suburb that is really coming into its own.”

“The prices reflect a continued growth for land in this exclusive suburb. It’s a lot higher than people appreciate.

“The lot sold shows just how far the suburb has come. It’s a quiet area that is very well planned and close to transport networks, so it’s a great investment for buyers.”
